How can I remove the light up apple logo to clean it?

I was plastidipping my lid, and it didn't work out that great because of the stickers I had on. I took all the plastidip off, but there is still some in the cracks between the aluminum lid and plastic/glass light up apple logo. I really want to clean it off because my OCD is really really bothering me about it. I can provide pictures of it if you want.

have you successfully removed the plastidip? Apparently I also have the exact same issue as you (and yeah I am also quite OCD so the condition right now is really annoying)

The retina displays are not easy to take apart. You'll need to completely disassemble the lid assembly. Here's the IFIXIT guide: MacBook Pro Retina Display Teardown.

Frankly, I think your better off leaving it alone as the risk of damaging the display is just too great. Or, replace the complete lid assembly if your OCD won't let it be ;-}

Even with a non-retina screen it's nearly impossible. Even *if* you get your screen assembled back together and in a working order, chances are high the rubber bands are not 100% in line, which will result in something far more ugly than your dirty Apple logo.

Please don't risk that.

And his OCD will get the better of him when he see's how messy the edge of the cover glass looks afterwards ;-{ Sometimes its best to leave things alone.
