Tear down step question

In this link, iPhone 4 Teardown

Step 7, first pic shows the removal of a screw. If that screw is missing, could it cause less than stellar wifi connectivity? I can be about 15' away from a wireless repeater we have and lose connectivity periodically. Thanks.

The long screw to the left of the screwdriver tip in the picture is important for the WiFi reception. This long screw goes through a small silver colored metal bracket at this screw hole of the WiFi connector cover plate. The screw at the screwdriver tip only function is securing the plate, and is not that important.

Thanks. To the right of the screwdriver tip, or to the left? I'm missing the one that he's unscrewing in the photo and have the one to the right, that's visible just above the stem of the screwdriver. I tried to tighten it and was able to just a little. The wifi connection still sucks.
