chadd, I'd be careful about using a hammer ;-) a loose connector usually displays different colors or distorted images across the whole display, not just part of it. You can, and should, make sure that the display connector is properly seated. If it is, and if you do not see any obvious damage, check the connector for any bend or broken pins etc. I'd suggest you replace the LCD. Use these guides to work on your iPad. Ok this might sound crazy but my phone did the same thing. I put it down face first on a table (a sturdy one) and I gave it a good whack with a hammer on the back part not the screen part. You could try giving it a whack with your hand or something but it cant be that soft. All it is, is a led wiring is loose so hitting it makes it back into place
