Replace the 1Tb with a hybrid SSD drive?

1 and 2 Tb hybrid drives are really affordable now. I will replace my drive soon. I did ask this question before. However I want to replace the drive and not the optical drive for my 24" iMac (early 2009). Thus my questions are can I use either the 1 Tb (laptop size) or 2 Tb 3.5 inch drive as a replacement for my iMac. I realize the 2 Tb drive would be better. Can use Super Duper to clone the drive from a 1 tb to 2Tb?

thanks!

I've had great luck with the new Seagate SSHD drives. Both the 2.5" and the 3". For your iMac, get a 3" drive. Use either an external enclosure or a Universal Adapter to hook it up. I use SuperDuper almost every day, I even bought the full version, I think it's one of the best utilities I've ever used.
