Internal keyboard and trackpad intermittently not working

History

Sometimes on boot up trackpad and keyboard will not work although a remote mouse plugged into USB port works ok but the keyboard still does not work.

If unit dropped about 3 inches on carpet (naughty i know ) works again, although sometimes stops working again whilst in use.

I suspect a loose cable/plug. Any ideas?

Yep, if you drop it and it works then a cable will be loose. Basically, make sure all the connections to the logic board featured in this guide are in properly.

found trackpad socket had broken away from logic board on soldered joints
