question about screen replacement compatibility

I have an iMac EMC 2210. I pulled the screen out of it because I believe it is bad. The model of the screen is LM201WE3 (TL)(F5) but when I look online I find lots of variations of the LM201WE3 but none that are exact matches. Are they all backwards compatible with eachother? If not are any of them backwards compatible? PLEASE HELP!

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

This is a conversation you should be having with the screen vendor, not a bunch of 3rd party strangers. I wouldn't purchase a display from a vendor that did not (in writing) guarantee the display would work flawlessly in your machine. That way you are not obligated for restock or return fees.

If this answer is acceptable please remember to return and mark it.

I understand what you're saying, however that doesn't really help me. The problem is, since this is an older mac it is difficult to find screens for this other than ebay. That's the reason I am asking on a site that has lots of people doing the same DIY mac repairs. Hopefully someone can answer this.
