Can I Put A 2009 iMac Logic Board Into 2010 Body?

I bought a used iMac for parts off of Craigslist. I replaced the PSU and it's still not running. The Genius's claim it's the logic board and unfortunately eBay isn't turning up ANY results for 2010 logic boards.

However, there is a Late 2009 i5 logic board:

Would I be able to swap out the one I have (which I believe is a 3.2GHZ i3) with this one? They have the same model number attached (A1312)...it would save me a ton of money rather than going through a service shop and spending upwards of a thousand dollars.

With the models being the same and both boards being "i" processors rather than a Core 2 Duo, I would say your odds are very good. For a better answer, I would contact www.welovemacs.com and ask them if this board - http://www.welovemacs.com/6615428.html - will work in your machine. PS give them the last four figures of your serial number when asking.

Good thinking, sir. Sneaky!

I am waiting on a response.

Don't feel bad about wasting some of their time, they've burned me three times sending me used parts when new ones were ordered that I've about finished with them. I just wish iFixit would get Apple Authorized so they could sell new parts along with the used ones. Some things just require new parts over used.

It would be amazing if iFixit was AA.

I'm a little bummed that the power supply I bought here wasn't the solution, kind of a waste of 150 bucks ($180 shipped since I overnighted it).

I think it would boost their business tremendously.
