Buy a logic board and replace it by myself?
I put my 2 1/2 year old mac pro to an apple dealer because I was not able to switch it on again. Now they told me that it will cost 1300 Euros to reapair because my Logic Board is damaged.
Now I want to know if I can fix it by myself. Where can I buy a logic board? Where can I find a manual to replace the board?
Thx beforehand
Wolfgang

i've seen some boards on the net
maybe you will find something in your area (since you are talking about euros - you're not from the usa)
maybe you can find someone who is able to fix the board - the common repair after warranty advise is a new logic board - even if it's a part that costs 25 cent (only a example - had an iMac that worked after replacing 1 capacitor (changed of course the others too - but only one was the main problem)
how skilled are you with some stuff like that ?
changing is mostly something you do with a few screwdrivers - repairing would start with a soldering iron...
