2009-11 keyboards compatible with 2008-09 model?

History

I need to replace the keyboard on my 2008 MacBook Pro 15". There are a lot of keyboards available for the newer 2009-2011 models; are these compatible with the 2008 model?

Unfortunately, Apple switched around the location and type of connectors for various components such as the IR sensor, battery indicator light, and TrackPad. It doesn't look like you'd be able to squeeze the old stuff into the new case in the right locations.
