need help Identifying my iPod

I have a 30gb 4th gen iPod model number A1099. Id like to know if its a photo or regualr iPod.

Out of curiosity, are you unable to turn it on? The easiest way to ID it is to check the screen. Additionally, the color LCD is more of a black color when off, compared to the gray, flat look of a monochrome LCD.

I believe your 30GB model is an iPod Photo. you can look up the model number on sites like this one

Also, according to wikipedia, the "regular" 4th gen iPod only came in 20GB and 40GB versions, so your 30GB one must be the "Photo" version

As the others have said, you have a photo, but a general fact you should know is it's not really necessary to know, almost all the parts are interchangeable between Photo and 4th gen.

It's deceptively trickier than appears. The moving of the display connector on the logic board makes the display, logic board, and front panel not directly interchangeable.
