iRobot Roomba J7 Plus Does Not Power On

Check that the battery is installed and seated correctly. Reinstall it if it is loose or missing. [Link to battery installation]

Make sure the Clean Base is plugged into a working outlet. Place the Roomba on the base and leave it for 10 to 15 minutes before turning it on.

Check that the charging contacts on both the Roomba and Clean Base are clean and aligned.

• If the Roomba and Clean Base both show lights, the battery may need replacement.
• If the Clean Base has lights but the Roomba does not, the Roomba may need repair.
• If the Clean Base has no lights, try another outlet and make sure the power cord is firmly connected. If it still has no power, replace or repair the Clean Base

Hold the CLEAN button for 20 seconds, then release it. Wait for the light ring to turn off before placing the Roomba back on the Clean Base.

If the Roomba still does not turn on after charging and rebooting, the battery may have failed and needs replacement.

If the Roomba and battery are not receiving power despite a working Clean Base, an internal component may have failed. Contact iRobot Customer Care, especially if the Roomba is still under warranty.
