The audio output from the W-King D10 is crackling, muffled, or distorted when playing audio.

W-KING D10 Sound is Distorted

Low Battery

When the battery charge drops significantly, the built-in amplifier may struggle to drive the speakers cleanly, resulting in clipping or crackling audio at higher volumes.

  • Charge the Speaker: Connect the USB-C charging cable to the rear panel port labeled "DC5V". Allow the speaker to charge before testing the sound again.
  • Check LED Indicators: Verify that the status lights function properly during the charging process.

Volume and Equalizer Distortion

Distortion can occur if the source device is overdriving the speaker's input or if software settings are misconfigured.

  • Lower Source Volume: Setting a connected phone or laptop volume to 100% can cause digital clipping. Lower the source volume to 70–80% and control the overall volume using the buttons on the W-King D10.
  • Turn Off Custom EQs: Disable any third-party equalizers, bass boosts, or spatial audio effects running on your source device.
  • Test Multiple Sources: Try playing music from a different app or device to determine if the issue is tied to a specific audio file or stream.

Bluetooth Interference and Range

Wireless signal interference can introduce audio stuttering, popping, or crackling artifacts.

  • Reduce Distance: Move your device closer to the speaker and ensure there are no large physical barriers or heavy metal objects blocking the connection.
  • Clear Pairing History: Go into your device's Bluetooth settings, forget the W-King D10, and pair it again to establish a fresh connection.

Damaged Speaker Drivers

If the sound remains distorted across multiple sources, volumes, and connection types, the physical speaker cones or internal hardware may be damaged.

  • Inspect Grille and Cones: Check the speaker mesh for foreign debris, dust buildup, or physical dents that could be interfering with speaker movement.
  • Blown Drivers: Prolonged playback at maximum volume or moisture exposure can rupture the speaker cone surround, causing a persistent buzzing sound.
  • Internal Failure: If internal speaker components or wiring are faulty, disassembly and replacement will be necessary. Refer to the internal component guides for further repair instructions.
