Turtle Beach Ear Force XO One Troubleshooting

Released October 2014, identified by model number TBS-2218-01.

Not hearing game chat ¶

Not being able to hear the group chat with the headphones.

Unplugged from controller ¶

Make sure the headset adapter is fully plugged in to the Xbox One controller.

Chat volume down ¶

On the Turtle Beach Controller adapter increase the chat volume by pressing the up arrow on the chat side of the adapter.

Microphone not working ¶

The microphone does not register your voice when you speak into it.

Not fully plugged in ¶

Make sure that the microphone connector is completely secured into the socket on the headphones. If it is not pushed in all the way, push it in further.

Controller update ¶

If your Xbox One controller is not running on the current version of its firmware, it may not work with the headset adapter. Updating to the newest version of the controller firmware may allow the microphone to function properly.

Adapter won’t fit in controller ¶

Try as you might, you cannot fit the headset adapter into your Xbox One controller.

Misaligned prongs ¶

Unfortunately, some headset adapters come fresh out of the box with misaligned prongs, so they will not fit in an Xbox One controller no matter how hard you try. If this is the case, contact the retailer at which the headphones were purchased or Turtle Beach in order to find a replacement.

Sound and/or mic coming in and out randomly ¶

Sound comes in and out randomly. The headset may only work when the wires are bent a certain way.

Pinched Wire ¶

A replacement may be necessary. However if an individual would like to attempt to repair this problem themselves, the wire type, length, and solder instructions will be provided with easy-to-follow illustrations. NOTE: warranty may be voided if attempted.

Headset not recognized by console ¶

The console is not indicating/recognizing that a headset is connected.

Check Compatibility ¶

The headset is compatible with a wide range of consoles. A list of compatible consoles is provided. If the problem continues, another problem may be occurring.

On my Xbox one dashboard is shows that there is no headset/mic connected to the controller, I've tried just about everything and there is still no audio going into the headset and I also can't talk to anyone in Xbox parties. Both my headset and my console is up to date with the latest version and I still have the same problem, my headset is brand new and the wires are fine, I'm thinking it may be a problem with either my adapter or my xbox one controller..... Can anyone relate to this issue? Or does anyone have any solutions? Oh, and I've done everything that Xbox support told me to do and it's still having the same issue.

The same thing is happening to me and I have tried using a different controller and it works fine , not sure weather it s a problem with my controller . Also the controller that it works on is the old version , not sure if that has anything to do with it or not .
