The Sony Xperia T2 Ultra Dual Smart phone with a 13 megapixel camera 16x digital zoom, 1.1 megapixel front-facing camera, 6” HD display with 720 x 1280 pixels, 1 Gigabyte memory RAM, flash memory up to 8 GB and microSD card compatible.

Note: This troubleshooting guide covers only the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra Dual. Other Sony phone models will be covered in other troubleshooting guides.

Sony Xperia T2 Ultra Dual does not hold a charge ¶

Your phone tends to drain the battery faster than normal

Applications still running ¶

When you have multiple applications running in the background, it requires more processing power which drains the battery life faster. The bottom right button on the screen with the 2 windows above each other will allow you to close running applications with a swipe of the finger.

Use battery saving modes ¶

There are multiple battery saving modes in the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra Dual that can be accessed through the settings power management tab. These battery saving modes work to save power by turning off functions that you don't need when your device isn't in use, automatically starts saving power when the battery reaches a certain charge level, and sets your device to only activate the Wi-Fi® function when it comes within range of a saved Wi-Fi® network.

Dead battery ¶

If the above does not work, you need to change the battery. The steps for accomplishing this will be detailed in a battery replacement guide.

No audio or distorted audio through internal speakers ¶

The sound of the speaker is low in volume.

Check volume levels ¶

Raise the volume by pressing the volume button on the right side of the phone.

Broken Internal Speaker ¶

If the sound is still not loud enough or cracking noise even after the above troubleshooting, you need to change the internal speaker. The steps for accomplishing this will be detailed in a speaker replacement guide.

No audio or distorted audio through external audio emitter ¶

“Your Sony Xperia T2 Ultra Dual turns on and appears to work, but when you plug in headphones or speakers, the audio doesn't play properly.''

No audio or distorted audio through headphones or speakers ¶

If you don’t get adequate sound or the audio is not playing properly in the headphones, you want to try a new pair of headphones to make sure it is not the headphone jack component that is broken.

Broken internal headphone jack ¶

If the above solution did not work, you should replace the headphone jack. The steps for accomplishing this will be detailed in a headphone jack replacement guide.

Camera clarity issues ¶

There may be a problem with clarity, black screen and distorted colors in the picture.

Blurry image ¶

If you are not getting a clear image, there are two things you can try. First, attempt to make the camera more steady. If this does not produce the desired result, you can utilize the phones auto focus option by tapping the square on the middle of the screen.

Black screen or dirty lens ¶

If not getting a clear image or a black screen, there are a few things that could be happening. You could potentially have a dirty lens or be covering the camera. If you have a dirty camera lens, you can clean both the front and rear facing camera with a microfiber cloth to avoid scratches. If you get a black screen, check to make sure that you are not placing your finger over the front or rear camera accidently.

Dark images ¶

When using the front or back facing cameras, if there are distorted colors in the picture being taken, there could be a lighting issue. To resolve the lighting issue, you can try to find better lighting for where the picture is being taken or could try turning on the internal flash by pressing the flash icon on the top part of the camera screen.

Broken front-facing camera ¶

If the above solutions did not work, you should replace the corresponding camera. The steps for accomplishing this will be detailed in two separate guides: front facing replacement guide and back-facing replacement guide.

Nothing worked for me except for this one little trick...

Open the back cover

Try pressing the speaker mildly...if it works...Great!!

Else try putting the back cover from the type first (Camera end)

Now as you approach towards the speaker end...make an effort to push cover a lil hard to get a hard click sound

I got my speaker working this way...try it!!
