Faulty Power Adapter
Ensure that correct USB cable, provided with system, is securely connected to correct port on the back of the gaming system. Connect USB port into AC adaptor (not included, must support 5 V, 1.0 A), then connect adaptor into electricity supply. Done correctly, after pressing the power button, the POWER indicator should produce a steady green light indicating the system is on.
Faulty Motherboard
If the system still does not flash a green light, the internal motherboard might be damaged due to water spillage or other unknown causes. If this is the case, the motherboard will need to be [invalid guide link].
Image Not Displaying
Although the Playstation Classic is powered on, an image won’t display on screen.
Improper Use of HDMI Cord
Be sure to check that the HDMI cord is properly inserted into the back of the Playstation Classic. Connect other output of HDMI cord into the correct port in TV system. Ensure that your TV is switched to the correct input. An image should be portrayed once the HDMI is properly secured.
Error With TV or Output System
If the image is still not shown, there may be an issue with your display system. In this case, consult guides on that specific device.
Power Button Unresponsive
The device’s power button is loose or jammed and won’t turn the system on.
Jammed Power Button

If the button is dented or shattered to the point where it is no longer functional, it will need to be [invalid guide link].
Open Button Unresponsive

If the button is noticeably cracked, the Open button must be [invalid guide link].
Controllers Are Unresponsive
The PlayStation is not responding to the controllers commands.
Micro USB is Unplugged
If your console is not responding to any of the controllers commands, it is likely due to a faulty controller cord. There is a chance that the cord became unplugged from the motherboard internally.
Faulty Controller Cord
Sony uses USB to Micro USB cords that are about 5 feet in length for the PlayStation Classic controllers. Overtime and through wear and tear, these cords can become faulty. This cord will need to be [invalid guide link] by taking the controller apart, requiring a small screwdriver.

i bought the small classic but can not see anything on the computer monitor. It is ridiculous that the ps classic only has hdmi port. I had to buy adapter hdmi to vga . All monitors here have vga only. But nothing shows on the monitor. I got laptop hdmi does not show it either. Classic crap. Worth 5 at most. Can not return to shop.

“Can’t recognize the controller.
Reconnect the controller to Controller Port 1.”
So I bought the PS Classic when it first came out, I used it ONCE and due to not being impressed, it gathered dust for quite some time. I then decided to give it another chance and it boots up without issue however will not get past message above. I have not opened or attempted to mod / jail brake unit. I have the original controllers and neither get past error. I saw a video about a De Bug Menu with the use of a USB Keyboard but it appears no power is coming from the USB ports! I have a usb power tester which did not show anything when plugged in and just in case, I tested a USB LED Torch and USB Fan from Goal Zero which powered fine using other USB plugs but nothing on the Playstation. Either there is not enough power coming from the unit to attempt to use the devices I tried or I’m guessing something is dead internally. I ensured to use different USB plugs with the system in case there was a lack of power but no luck either.
