Faulty Power Adapter
Ensure the power adapter is plugged into your power outlet, and the adapter is plugged into your computer. Visually check to ensure power light lit, on the power adapter. If the light is not on, the adapter is faulty. It is better to purchase a replacement power adapter.
Faulty Battery
If the light on power adapter is on, make sure the power adapter is connected to the laptop. If the laptop powers is on when the charger is plugged in but does not hold a charge or regardless of battery charging percentage, the battery is faulty.

Computer Will Not Connect To Internet
Laptop will not connect to internet
Disabled Wifi
Check and see if the Wifi is enabled in the operating system. Go to "Start", click on "Control Panel". Go to "Network and Internet", click on "Network and Sharing Center". Choose "Change adapter settings" on the Task pane. Right-click on "Wireless Network Connection" and select Enable.
Faulty Driver
First, go into the start menu of the OS, and search "Device Manager". And then click on device manager and locate the "Network adapters". Then double click the network adapter, and this will lead to a drop down option that should give you the Wifi Card in the computer (for example, "Intel(R) Ethernet Connection (2) I219 - LM") . For the next step, double click on that to open up the device properties, and 4 tabs will locate at the top of the page. On the first tab there should be a device status text. If the box says that the Device is working properly, try to turn the computer off and on. If not go to the second tab titled "Driver" There should be a button titled "Update Driver...". Click on that box to forcefully update the driver, which should fix the problem. If not, click the uninstall button and then reinstall.
Defective WiFi Card
If laptop is not fixed after the two steps above, then replace the Wifi card.

Ok its probably a little late to help most of you but with mine (blue light on for 4 seconds when power button pressed) .. Tried changing the CMOS battery but this didn't help but whilst dismantling the laptop I noted 2 tiny pads under the memory modules that read "cmos reset" So I shorted them out for 5 seconds I guess with a paper clip ... then pressed the on button and it lit up. So I powered down removed battery and reinstalled the memory modules and hay presso a working laptop... YMMV....
