Phone won't turn on ¶ 

Your device is non-responsive to being powered on.

Phone is not charged ¶ 

The phone must be charged for approximately 4 hours. After the phone has reached full charge, attempt to turn on the phone using the power-on key. The phone should respond after holding down the key for 5 seconds.

Phone has a dead battery ¶ 

Your battery may no longer have power from the last charge. Check to see if the phone powers on by using a known, working battery inside the device.

Phone has a broken LCD ¶ 

If the above solutions were not successful or if the screen has any visible cracks, replacing the LCD screen is an option. See the Installing LCD Guide for steps on replacing the LCD screen.

Phone has a broken Motherboard ¶ 

This is a last resort option. If replacing the battery and the LCD screen did not help with turning the phone on, then it's highly probable that the Motherboard, which is responsible for controlling all flows between different components of the phone, is the culprit. Disassembly of the device is required to see if the Motherboard connections are loose or if a replacement is necessary. See the Installing Motherboard Guide for steps on replacing the motherboard.

Poor or no reception ¶ 

Your device is unable to make calls.

Poor service area ¶ 

The area you are in is not providing a sufficient signal for your phone to make calls. Move to another area where your signal reception bars improve.

Phone has broken antenna ¶ 

The antenna responsible for transmitting signals to your phone may be defunct. If there is any noticeable wear on the antenna, it needs to be replaced. Consult the Installing Antenna Guide for steps to replace your antenna. Also, the internal connections of the antenna with the Motherboard may be loose and could need to be reconnected through repair.

No Internet service ¶ 

Your device is unable to connect to the Internet.

No data plan ¶ 

You have not purchased a data plan that grants you access to the Internet. Please contact your wireless carrier for further details on available data plans.

No service ¶ 

Your current location does not allow a proper connection to the Internet. Common conditions that affect cell phone reception include humid weather, tall buildings, and the terrain, such as mountains or hills. All of these conditions can interfere with the signal between the phone and the cell phone tower, causing the signal to arrive distorted or not at all.

Phone won't retain its charge ¶ 

Your device is not holding a proper charge.

Charger is not plugged in correctly ¶ 

Check to see that the charger connections are firmly inserted in the phone. There will be a visual cue on the screen when the charger is inserted properly into the device.

Battery is dead ¶ 

The existing battery in your device is faulty or has reached its maximum charge capacity. An easy way check if the battery is at fault is to place it in another phone of the same model and see if the same issues arise. If so, then you will need to purchase a replacement battery. See the Installing Battery Guide for steps on replacing your battery.

Broken charger or broken charger cord ¶ 

First, check for any noticeable wear on either the cord or the charger itself. If any tears or damage are evident, then it is very probable that the entire charger will need to be replaced. Try using a working charger with your device. If the phone retains its charge, then a new charger will need to be purchased.

Not storing media files ¶ 

Your device is unable to save images, text messages, or sounds.

Memory full ¶ 

The internal 256 MB of space has reached its maximum capacity. Similarly, your microSD memory card may be full. To see how much available memory is left on your device, check your main system settings.

Broken microSD card slot ¶ 

Your phone is unable to transfer or receive files with the microSD card due to a faulty microSD card slot. If any cracking or other wear is visible and the phone does not recognize that a card is inserted, then the slot is need of replacement.

Keyboard is not working ¶ 

Your devices has non-responsive keys.

Keyboard is locked ¶ 

It is possible that the phone is simply locked. Check your system settings to unlock the device. A password may be required to do so.

Keys are "stuck" ¶ 

If the keys are not working or respond only periodically, they may be getting stuck. This occurs due to a buildup of dirt or sticky substance underneath the keys. You can remove the keyboard to clean it.

Keyboard is broken ¶ 

If the keys are still unresponsive after cleaning, then the keyboard may be experiencing poor connection with the motherboard. If the keyboard did not regain function after being reconnected to the motherboard, then the keyboard is broken. See the Installing Keyboard Guide for steps on replacing your keyboard.

Phone is not vibrating ¶ 

Your device does not alert you of incoming notifications by vibrating.

Phone is set to silent ¶ 

Your phone is currently set to silent mode. This restricts any vibrating alerts. This feature can be changed through your phone settings.

Broken vibrating mechanism ¶ 

The internal vibrating mechanism of your phone is either showing signs of wear or is connected loosely to the Motherboard. Disassembly of the device is necessary to check for any noticeable damage on the motor of the mechanism or for any loose connections.

Phone is not ringing ¶ 

Your device does not alert incoming notifications through sound.

Phone is set to silent ¶ 

Your phone is currently set to silent mode, restricting it from producing sounds. This feature can be changed through your phone settings.

Broken speaker ¶ 

There may be internal problems inhibiting ringing such as a build-up of debris, loose wiring, or a damaged speaker. Disassembly of the device is necessary to check for any dirt or loose connections around the speaker. If cleaning did not solve the issue, then the entire speaker must replaced.
