Samsung HT-J4500 Troubleshooting

This trouble shooting page will help diagnose problems with the Samsung HT-J4500.

Devices not connecting to the system

No other wireless devices are able to interact with the main system.

Failure of the Bluetooth module

If a properly functioning device is unable to connect to the system, power it on/off and retry connection. If the connection is still failing the Bluetooth module is faulty or has ceased functioning. (see replacement guide here)

System is unresponsive

The system is failing to perform any tasks.

Motherboard failure

If the system is completely unresponsive, a faulty motherboard could be the issue. (see replacement guide here)

Faulty Power Cable

Ensure that the power cable is properly connected to both the device and the wall outlet. If the power cable is properly connected and the device remains unresponsive, the power cable could be faulty.

System not responding to external devices

No devices are able to communicate through the USB connection.

USB failure

If a properly functioning device is unable to connect to the system, power it on/off and retry connection. If the connection is still failing the USB Port is faulty or has ceased functioning. (see replacement guide here)

Touch Interface is unresponsive

System does not respond when user interacts with touch interface

Touch input strip failure

If touch pads on front of device are unresponsive, power it on/off and retry connection. If the connection is still failing the Bluetooth module is faulty or has ceased functioning. (see replacement guide here)

System cannot read discs

System disc drive is unable to properly read the disc inserted or is unable to accept discs.

Disk drive failure

If disk drive fails to read or accept disc inserted, remove disc (if inside), power it on/off and retry connection. Retry inserting the disk into the device, if the problem persists, the Disk drive is faulty/ or has ceased functioning. (see replacement guide here)
