Phone will not turn on ¶ 

Oh no!!! Your phone is still napping.

Dead battery ¶ 

The battery could be out of charge. Plug it into your charging cable and wait a few minutes. Try to turn the phone on.

Bad screen ¶ 

Phone is on and working just with no screen output. If this is the case your phone should still vibrate or ring if called or texted. Check for signs of the phone being on. If it works, turn off the phone and follow our guide on how to replace the screen.

Bad motherboard ¶ 

If all else fails then you may have a problem with your motherboard. You can follow our guide to replace it and get your phone working.

Phone is frozen/unresponsive ¶ 

Screen display is not changing or doing anything when prompted.

Restart phone ¶ 

Hold down the power button until your phone turns off completely. Wait a few seconds before turning your phone back on.

Remove battery ¶ 

Take off the back cover of your phone and remove the battery. Wait a few seconds then put the battery back with the cover. Turn your phone back on.

Lack of wireless connection ¶ 

Wi-Fi!?!?! Where are you Wi-Fi???

Antennagate ¶ 

Try holding your phone in a different position and take off the case if you have one. Both can block your Wi-Fi.

Relocate ¶ 

You may just be in a bad spot for Wi-Fi. Move to a different part of the room or go outside.

Restart phone ¶ 

Hold down the power button until your phone turns off completely. Wait a few seconds before turning your phone back on.

Battery does not hold a charge ¶ 

Unknown battery problems.

Check battery placement ¶ 

Take off the back cover and make sure the battery is in properly. Also make sure the battery is not loose in its spot. If it is loose or not in correctly take it out and put it in so that it fits and in the way it is supposed to be.

Different charging cable/outlet ¶ 

Your cable could be faulty. Try using a different charging cable to see if that does it. If not try a different outlet to charge your phone from.

Replace Battery ¶ 

Your battery is bad and you need to buy a new one and put that into your phone.

Minor water damage ¶ 

My phone went swimming!!!!!!

Immediate treatment ¶ 

Find a cloth or other item to dry your device. You are going to use this item to dry your phone as best as you can. Then remove the back and take out the battery. Place the phone, battery and back cover in a porous material like rice to get the last of the water out.
