Motion Controller Will Not Power On
The controller will not respond or charging cables and ports appear to be broken.
Malfunctioning Battery
Check to make sure charging port is plugged in correctly to controller and console. When properly plugged in and charging, a flashing red light should appear until the controller is fully charged. When the battery is fully charged, the red light will stop flashing. If this does not happen, the battery is faulty.
Faulty USB Cable
Check to make sure charging port is plugged in correctly to console. If the controller is correctly plugged and the red light has not stopped flashing after hours of charging, then the cable is faulty. Corroded metal chips of USB cable would disrupt a proper connection to the console. Also, make sure that you are using the authentic cable. Using a different cable can cause problems when the device is charging. See "Faulty Non-Authentic USB Cable" below for more information.
Damaged Charging Port
Check to make sure that the charging port on the controller does not have missing or corroded metal chips. If the charging port is damaged you can try to exchange your device for a new one. Another alternative is replacing the charging port yourself using a repair guide.
Defective Non-Authentic USB Cable
Check if the original USB cable is used. When the cable is not specifically made for the controller, it would not work as it is supposed to. Also, the specifications of the cable may not match the powering criteria of the controller. Your first option would be to try to find the original USB cable to charge the device. If this is not possible, try buying another cable to see if it works but this may not be the case because of what was previously explained.
Eye Camera Will Not Power On
Camera does not show signs of a successful connection or does not respond.
Damaged USB Cable
Check if the USB is properly connected to the port. When the USB is correctly plugged in, a light will appear, indicating that the camera is on. If this does not happen, the cable could have been damaged by excessive heat and improper storage, which would lead to broken wires in the cord.
Broken USB Port on Console
Check to make sure that the charging port on the controller is not damaged or corroded.
If there is any type of damage, try to exchange the device where it was purchased. Also, check that the cable you are using is not damaged itself. You could buy a new cord as well in case an exchange can not be done.
Eye Camera Does Not Pick Up Audio
The camera does not pick up input sounds.
Accessory Audio Settings Off
First check that the accessory settings of your console is set to ‘on’ for the audio option. Adjust the volume range for which the camera’s microphone will pick up. If these settings are fixed and the microphone still does not pick up sounds, then the camera’s microphone is faulty and needs to be replaced.
Motion Controller Buttons Stuck/Not Responding
Buttons do not move, respond or are sunk into the controller.
Controller Not Paired
When keys are stuck, there may be something below them. To fix this, remove the keys and make sure nothing is stuck in it. When the buttons do not respond, disconnect the controller from the console by clicking the reset button located at the back of the controller for a few seconds. To reconnect the devices, plug the USB cable to the controller and then to the PlayStation console. Press the PS button and it will be paired. If the controller does not pair, the motherboard may need to be replaced.
Manufacture Defect
If the problem still occurs after doing the previous steps then it could be a defect from the factory.
Misuse of Controller / Usage Damage
Continuous use or improper use could damage the controller and affect its functionality.
Controller Sphere Does Not Light Up
Sphere of the controller does not light up or does not provide visual feedback of game activities.
Controller Not Paired
First, disconnect the controller from the console by clicking the reset button located on the back of the controller for a few seconds. To reconnect the devices, plug the USB cable to the controller and then to the PlayStation console. Press the PS button and it will be paired.
LED Lightbulb Defect
If the controller is charged and paired to the console but does not light up, the lightbulb is dead and should be replaced.

Mine just blinks the red light rapidly. It does blink steadily while charging. Also, your chat system is broken, I have been waiting for over an hour to connect to someone, and the Captcha verification keeps timing out.

when it’s plugged in turn the system on and pair that controller. This should take care of that issue, it did for me.

once you have paired each controller, you wont need to “hook up” either. They will both synch with the VR system.

If your move controller light is just blinking red, then press the sync button. It’s the small button in the back, Get something small to press it. Then turn it on, if the light’s still blinking repeat the same steps as before. It’s the only solution i have found

mine is all normal .when suddenly i cant charge the motion controller. try charging the navigation controller using the port and also the authentic cable, working fine. able to charge normal. when i charge my motion controller , led light not lighted and each time i reinsert the cable to the port the console will prompt battery empty. and unable to charge the motion controller. any one has the same problem.

Mine are just spazzing around chaotically. I'm trying to do something simple in a VR game like pick up items, but they're practically impossible because the controllers were not responding, no matter how many times I recalibrated them.

My controller is paired. It works I’m the game. But I can’t use it outside of the game? I restarted my controller but it didn’t work and then I completely restarted my ps4 but it also didn’t work

@all above me: Check the voltage on your batteries. I´m pretty sure they are not charging anymore. Solution: replace the battery. Easy and cheap. You´re welcome ;)

I’ve tried to connect it to my PS4, but nothing seems to work, they will show up on my PS4’s “Bluetooth devices”, but not. The PlayStation will show the two borders around where it should show that the controllers are connected, but it’s blank. Not only that, but the controllers won’t even turn on or charge, so idk what to do.

My dog chewed the sphere a bit, like in half. Is the ball necessary? Or do I just let it ride?

The ball is necessary for the camera to recognize it. Otherwise the point of light would be too small. Look for a defective one. The ballsy thing is easily changed.

My controls keep flashing a red light even after hours of having them charged I have reset both multiple times and still nothing. I have tried turning them on and nope just more flashing red lights and I had them connected to the PS4 to try to pair them but they still won’t turn on I don’t know what to do anymore. Help! I just want to play some games!

As soon as we load a game, the controller stops working, if i exit back to home screen it comes back on. I have reset and reset and reset. Still will not work. Both controllers are paired to the ps4. My kid got this for Christmas, be nice if it would work.

My controller sphere blinks red and doesn’t respond when buttons are pressed/ when the controller is plugged in to charge. Any assistance on how to fix this and/ or do I need to buy a new one? It had a collision with another controller during beatsaber and the other controller isn’t responding or lighting up at all any more.

Mine works in all the ways it should. I Can even connect the move controller to my PS4. But When i try to connect the PS move Remote to my ps3, nothing.

One of the controllers stop working so I replaced the battery with a new one , and still it won’t charge or turn on , I’ve tried the new battery in the other controller to check and it works perfect and charges up, so refit it back in the non working controller and still it doesn’t work ? Any suggestions on what else I can try ? There’s no damage to the controller or inside it, any help at all would be grateful, thanks.

Hello iwill be buying a 3rd pair since this past Christmas 2019. But before I ‘Find' and order them, I wanted to ask a question. My son is 11 and is irresponsible at times. The first time he had an idea to throw the remote up and catch it. Needless to say it hit the ceiling. Works lights up BUT once I sign in the light shuts off and once I'm in the calibration screen it doesn't light up. BUT it will work to move from place to place but will not register in a game. 2nd time I ordered a pair he had them a few months now well he tripped over the cord of the headset and hit the a remote on the dresser. Light out but again once I turn it on it will work scroll from place to place with the light on until I log into calibrate it. Them light goes out and that's it. Seeing how one of the 1st pair worked I tried to connect it with the 2nd one I bought but it wouldn't let me. I tried the unplug and reset and restart. Could only calibrate ONE and none of the other 3.new out of box. HELLP TY

Play station is the absolute worst game in con soul I have ever come across over $1000 worth of equipment with this piece of $@$* we are two days of begging @%^$$@$# to answer me through a &&^&^$^ chair and still this kid cannot play his game way to ruin a kids birthday Sony I will never ever purchase another unit by Sony in my life Xbox will be the only gaming consoles I ever buy from here on in never this many problems ever

Neither of my two Move controllers will connect now. No problem before although it has been about six months since I last used them. I’ve just updated the System software from 4.1 to 5 so I wonder if that has anything to with it? Have tried all sorts including plugging them in and pressing the tiny reset button, but to no avail. Neither of them will connect now.

My controllers pair and buttons work but only 1 works in the main menu screen and when I go to play any game I can only move 1 hand the other is just stuck outstretched. The buttons work to open and close the hand but I can’t move it. I have tried re pairing and moving the camera also tried a completely blacked out room.

I can’t calibrate the move controller with PS eye camera. I have 2 controllers and tried with both of them., but could not get calibrated with camera. I can navigate through the main screen and open any menu, but to open a game we need the first calibration (move controller & PS eye). The white ball on the controller blinks and changes colors, not getting calibrated with PS eye camera. Always get “calibration fail message”. Is there any way to clear it?. I am using PS3 console.

100% fix!!!! MAKE SURE THERE IS NO OTHER PS4 SYSTEM ON AT THE TIME YOU TRYING TO PAIR BOTH MOVE CONTROLLERS. %#*@ took me a while and a trip to the store to replace my move controllers. When the new controllers had the same problem I knew it wasn't bad controllers. My stepson is next room with his ps4, so I had an Idea that maybe it is due to interference of another ps4 system in the area... I asked him to turn his system off... And voila!!! Both of them paired golden!

I have paired one motion controller to go wirelessly but the 2 controller won’t go wirelessly, if I unplug it from the usb cable my motion controller disconnects from my ps4

What should I do if one controller won’t turn on even if it’s charged a bit. I just bought it today haven’t dropped it or anything like that. It won’t turn on. It flashes the red when it’s trying to turn on but the flashing stops after a few seconds

it works on console menu but it stops responding in game and app, both motion controllers. I tried turning them on and off, resetting the controllers, both of them and re pairing them with the console, unplugging the console, use just the camera and not the vr headset and tried using them still plugged to the console. None of that worked. Is this technology so disposable it stops working on transit or am I doing something wrong?
