The Laptop Cannot Hold a Charge
The laptop requires constant charging
Incorrect Battery Settings
Go to CONTROL PANEL > HARDWARE AND SOUND > POWER SETTINGS > SYSTEM SETTINGS. Make sure that your settings for your battery, display and sleep options are set correctly and accordingly. Your device may be set to shut down if the battery is too low or if you close your lid.
Faulty Battery
The charger is connected to the laptop and your laptop works. As soon as you disconnect the charger, your laptop quits working, regardless of charging time. Your battery is faulty. Replace the battery using this guide.
Device is Overheating
The laptop is loud, sounds irregular, and the bottom is hot
Dust in Vents or Fans
Laptops may overheat due to dust and other materials stuck in the vents or fan. Use an air duster to carefully blow off the dust.
Insufficient Cooling
The cooling fan may not be working properly and may need to be replaced. Replace the cooling fan using this guide.
Poor Speaker Quality
You have trouble listening to sounds on your laptop, and the audio sounds distorted
Faulty Driver
Poor speaker quality may be a result of dirty speaker ports. Use an air duster to manually clean out your speakers. If this does not work, follow this guide to replace your speakers.
Drivers are Outdated
If you are still experiencing sound issues, visit your sound card manufacturer’s website and download the necessary drivers. Go to CONTROL PANEL > HARDWARE AND SOUND > SOUND to find what drivers are located in your laptop.
Unresponsive Touchpad
You are unable to move the mouse, or it is overly sensitive
Nonresponsive Touchpad
You may need to adjust your touchpad calibration, which is located in SETTINGS > DEVICES > TOUCHPAD. Make sure you change the sensitivity to your liking and adjust the settings to fit your personal use.
Touchpad Wiring May be Loose
Sometimes the touchpad wiring may need to be replaced. In that situation, you will need to replace the touchpad. You can follow the directions here on how to replace the touchpad on the Lenovo Ideapad Flex 4-1570.
The Laptop is Slow
The laptop is lagging, and the mouse is slow to react
Too Many Programs are Running at Once
Make sure that you are not running too many programs at one time. Having too many programs open at once can outstrip your memory and processing power. In order to check if you have too much going on, press ctrl + alt + del and go to Task Manager.
Hard Disk is Failing
Run a hard disk check. First, open a file folder, then on the left panel click on THIS PC > RIGHT CLICK ON (C:) DRIVE > TOOLS > CLICK ON CHECK in the Error Checking area. If there are errors that pop up, your hard disk may be failing. It means that you need to replace your hard drive. Replace your hard drive using our guide.
You Have a Virus
Run a malware scan and make sure that there are no viruses.

My screen keeps on graying out, and now, the screen in having a gray ring on the outside, and ideas… PUN intended??

I cannot see the touchpad under devices in Ideapad Flex4, It just stopped working and i am not able to bring it to work.
I did restart the Laptop as well.

Screen does not respond to touch in tablet mode. Microsoft 365 will not allow exit.
