Evercade EXP Battery Fails to Charge
When you plug the Evercade EXP and it fails to charge, follow these steps to ensure correct procedures to get the Evercade EXP charging again. Before taking any time-consuming measures, please ensure the following: Make sure you are connected to a power device with the correct power charger. The charger is a USB-C charger. Ensure the USB-C functions properly. Ensure the cable is not damaged. If you are using your charging dock, ensure the USB-C adapter is plugged in correctly and that the dock is not damaged
Evercade EXP Battery Fails to Charge
Before consulting the steps, turn Evercade EXP off and on to restart the device.
The LED lights on the bottom right of the console are the following:
- When the console is booting up, the LED light will flash green. Whilst gaming or in normal operation, the LED light will be off.
- When charging your console, the LED light will display red. When the device is fully charged, the light will be off.
- If the light is flashing red, this means the console has a low battery and needs to be charged. It will also flash red if there isn’t enough battery to turn on the console.
The port is dirty
The charging port can get dirty because of daily exposure to enviroments like bags and pockets, where the device can trap dirt, dust, and debris. If the Evercade EXP is having diffuclty holding charge, or not charging, follow these steps.
With the Evercade EXP facing you, flip it to the bottom to look at the charging port. Examine any dirt in the port. To clean the USB-C charging port, follow these steps:
- Power off the device.
- Gently remove debris and dirt by using compressed air.
- Carefully use a wooden toothpick or plastic dental pick to gently remove dirt from the port. Using the toothpick or dental pick, trace around the edges of the USB-C port, trying not damage the charging prongs. Avoid using metal objects (like needles), as they can damage the prongs.
- Wipe away any excess dirt on the sides if necessary.
- Power device back on and charge the Evercade EXP.
Damaged connection
If plugging a USB-C into the Evercade isn't charging, ensure the actual charger isn't broken. The charging port may have debris. Follow the steps above to clean the port. Inspect the charging capabilities by using a high-power USB-C cord. If the connector feels loose or wiggles significantly, the port itself is likely broken. Refer to this replacement guide if necessary.
Faulty Charger
Use a high-power USB-C charging cable to ensure maximum charging capabilities. If problems persist, purchase a new charger.
