Ematic EGQ337 Troubleshooting

Screen Is Blank or Distorted ¶ 

The tablet screen is completely black or has distorted images upon turning device ON

Loose Touchscreen ¶ 

The touchscreen becomes unresponsive as it's interaction with the motherboard is lost. Causes of such an event can include rough use of the touchscreen area or if the product experiences an unexpected/traumatic physical event. To service the issue, you will be required to dis-join the screen and re-join it with the mother board. A suggestion to follow includes: EMATIC EGQ337 LCD Replacement. You can then view instructions on how to reattach to the motherboard.

Outdated/Incompatible Software ¶ 

A blank screen that does not reveal signs of damage or distortion may mean that you have software related issue with your tablet. While initiating the factory reset command may help, please make sure you have the last operating software installed on your device. If initiating the factory reset option, please backup your data so it is secured online.

Faulty Touchscreen ¶ 

It can also be the case where your touchscreen has become obsolete or is faulty. In that scenario, you will need to have the touchscreen replaced with a new or usable option. As a suggestion, please use following command. EMATIC EGQ337 LCD Replacement. This command functions as instructions for LCD replacement as well.

Tablet Does Not Turn ON ¶ 

Tablet does not respond/turn ON after performing typical device power ON procedure, holding power button

Broken Charger ¶ 

If your Ematic device does not charge, there could be an issue with the charger. When plugged in the device will show a light indicating that it is receiving a charge. If this does not happen then the A/C adaptor might need to be replaced.

Faulty Battery ¶ 

When replacing the charger does not work, there is a chance that the tablets internal battery can no longer hold a charge. In this scenario, you would need to remove and replace the battery.

Tablet Does Not Emit Sound ¶ 

Tablet is ON and working properly from a visual aspect but does not emit any sound or emits distorted sounds from interacting/interface with tablet.

Incompatible Software ¶ 

If there is no sound coming from your device, it can be due to software compatibility issues. This can usually be solved by updating your IOS to the latest Android release that is compatible with this device. If that does not work, we suggest a factory reset. Please ensure to back up imperative data.

Faulty Speaker ¶ 

A system reset does not always solve the issue. In this case, we suggest that you open your device to replace your speaker and fix any faulty wiring.

Camera Malfunctioning ¶ 

Camera app will not open or does but no response from the actual camera hardware.

Outdated/ Malfunctioning Software ¶ 

If the camera is not working properly there can be a problem with the operative system. Try doing a Factory Back up and remember to save everything before you do it. Doing updates regularly prevents issues like this.

Faulty Camera ¶ 

Try checking the camera inside the tablet following our Replace Guide for Ematic EGQ337 Camera Replacement. Replace if it still does not work after checking the connection.

Damaged Digitizer ¶ 

None or distorted response after tapping commands on tablet's outside screen

Damaged Glass Screen ¶ 

The Digitizer is a delicate part and needs to be replaced upon failure. It is responsible for converting the touch commands to the digital image. A cracked/broken glass screen or, a faulty connection between the digitizer and motherboard could be the source of the problem. Replacing the glass screen could resolve this issue.
