Dyson V15 Detect Low Suction

During standard use of the Dyson V15 Detect, the cleaner head can become clogged. This is often due to hair getting tangled within the mechanisms of the vacuum cleaner or larger items blocking airways. Dyson has a feature on the side of the cleaner head that allows it to be unscrewed with a coin. Follow the steps outlined below to find the problem.

• Unscrew the plastic circle from the cleaner head using a coin. This may require more force than expected to achieve, so be careful not to break the V15 Detect in the process.
• Remove the brush from its housing and shake the dust that has accumulated into the garbage. Wearing gloves while doing this step is recommended. There also might be hairs caught in the housing of the brush that are causing it to become tangled, which need to be removed.
• Wash the brush in a sink and let it air dry before putting it back into the cleaner head.
• Place the brush back into its housing and screw back on the plastic circle.

• There is a notch on the side of the Fluffy Brush Bar, with a button on the inside of the notch that gives access to the housing. Push it in to gain access to the brush.
• Remove the brush from its housing and shake the dust that has accumulated into the garbage. Wearing gloves while doing this step is recommended. There also might be hairs caught in the housing of the brush that are causing it to become tangled, which need to be removed.
• Wash the brush in a sink and let it air dry before putting it back into the cleaner head.
• Place the brush back into its housing. It should click into place if to confirm it is set properly. While you are placing the brush back in, align the side of the brush with the notch that allowed access to the inside of the cleaner head with to the part it interlocked with before cleaning, and click it into place.
