The device does not turn on. ¶
You have problems turning on the device.
The device has issues with the battery. ¶
Your device battery may be drained. Charge the device for a couple hours and attempt to turn it back on. Hold the power button on the device for 30 seconds. Check to see if the device turns on. If the device still fails to respond, you might have a dead battery or a bad charger. Use the Battery replacement guide when replacing the battery.
The device does not charge. ¶
The battery level does not go up.
The device is plugged in. ¶
Make sure that the device is plugged in while charging and there is constant current running to the device. If the tablet is not charging test the charger
The charger works, but the device still does not charge. ¶
The charging port most likely needs to be replaced.
No sound comes from the device speakers. ¶
You do not hear any sounds coming out of the speakers.
The sound is on. ¶
Make sure that the sound is on and not muted. Use the volume keys to raise the volume to maximum. Check to make sure headphones are not plugged in as that will cause the device to play the music through the headphones instead of the speakers. Make sure the device is not accidentally connected to a bluetooth device as this will cause the audio to route to the bluetooth device instead of the device speakers.
No sound comes from the headphones. ¶
You do not hear any sounds coming out of the headphones.
Make sure that the sound is on and not muted. Use the volume keys to raise the volume to maximum. Check to make sure the source you are listening to has audio. Try playing music or a video from Youtube. Make sure the device is not accidentally connected to a bluetooth device as this will cause the audio to route to the bluetooth device instead of the headphones. If no sound is present, try a different known good pair of headphones. If no sound is heard, the headphone jack may be damaged and will need replacement. Check out the Headphone Jack replacement guide.
The touch screen is not responsive. ¶
Touches on the screen do not seem to do anything.
The screen does not seem to respond to touches. Try doing a hard reboot on the device. Hold the power button for 30 seconds or until it reboots. If the device does not respond to touches after restarting, the digitizer is most likely damaged and will need to be replaced. Try using the Front Panel Assembly guide.
The SD card is not being read. ¶
You have information stored to the SD but for some reason it seems to have vanished.
The card is in the SD slot ¶
Make sure that your SD card has not been accidentally removed. This may happen when the device hits something or falls.
All SD card contents are gone. ¶
The SD card may have been formatted or may be damaged
