Record Player Will Not Turn On
The record player will not show any sign of powering on.
Faulty AC Cord
Ensure the turntable’s AC cord is plugged into a “live” AC outlet. If the record player does not turn on when flicking the power switch to ON and the AC cord is plugged in, consider purchasing a replacement cord.

Wire Connection Disconnects
From time to time, the wired connection from the computer to the turntable is unstable.
Damaged Connectors
Check that the wires are connected securely at both ends of the record player and computer. If the connectors are worn or damaged, new ones will need to be purchased to replace them.

Unstable Ground
Ensure that the record player is on stable ground when being used, as unstable grounding can cause disconnection between the computer and record player.

Distorted Sound Quality
The sound quality when your record player plays is distorted and not normal.
Connection to PHONO Input is Incorrect
When the pre-amp switch is put to the “LINE” position, the AUX will be at a high-level output and the phono input will be overloaded. Consider readjusting the pre-amp switch until the sound quality is improved.

Audio Slowing Down and Speeding Up Randomly
When the record player is turned on, the sound is randomly sped up or slowed down.
Worn or Dirty Bearings
If the bearings that support the turntable’s rotating parts are damaged or dirty, they can affect the smooth rotation of the turntable which can cause irregularities in speed. Examine the quality of the bearings for debris or deterioration, and if the bearings are damaged then replacing them will be necessary.

Faulty Motor
The motor is responsible for rotating the platter using the attached belt and issues including random speed changes can result from a faulty motor. Take off the platter and inspect the consistency of the motor. If its rotations are irregular, it is advised to replace the motor.

Turntable Stops Spinning
Turntable stops spinning when turned on or doesn’t spin at all when turned on.
Faulty Drive Belt
If the turntable does not spin when the device is turned on, it may be because the drive belt is deteriorated or in the wrong position. Open the turntable to inspect the quality of the drive belt. If the belt has come off, put the drive belt in its proper position, and if the drive belt is loose or damaged a new one will need to be purchased.

Needle is Bent Out of Place
The needle is broken or bent in the wrong position and does not allow the record player to play.
Broken/Defective Needle
If the needle is broken or defective, then a new needle will need to be purchased in order for the record player to play properly. Once you have the new needle, unplug the record player and pinch the headshell, and then use your other hand to pinch the sides of the metal case surrounding the broken needle. This will allow you to remove the old needle and replace it with the new one.

Needle in Wrong Position
If the needle is in the wrong position, then the record player will not play properly and could potentially break or damage the needle. To put the needle in the correct position, make sure the needle is attached to the cartridge and is then aligned in the groove of the record.
