Device won't turn on ¶ 

You cannot figure out how to get your device to work.

Press Power button down ¶ 

The best way to get your device to turn on is to hold down the power button.

Drained Battery ¶ 

If your device won't turn on, it could be that the battery drained. Try plugging the netbook into its charger and try to turn on after a few hours. If the battery does not last long, the battery may be weak and you should pursue purchasing a new battery for your device. Please refer to our Battery Replacement Guide for instructions on how to replace your battery.

Dead Battery ¶ 

If your device won't turn on, it could be that the battery is dead. Try plugging the netbook into its charger and try to turn on after a few hours. If this does not work, the battery may be dead and you should pursue purchasing a new battery for your device. Bad display ¶ 

It is possible that it appears nothing is happening because the display is bad. If the device is running, but the only issue is that the screen is not displaying properly, the screen can be replaced. To replace your screen, please refer to our Screen Replacement Guide.

Battery life is very small ¶ 

Device does not last long without dying.

Mousepad / Trackpad clicker nonfunctional ¶ 

The clicker is stuck and or is not responding.

Replace Clicker ¶ 

If you notice that your clicker is non-responsive, please refer to our Clicker Repair Guide, which will provide solutions in which you can either fix or replace your clicker.

Clicker is Dirty and Stuck ¶ 

If something is spilled on the device, the clickers can get stuck. This can be fixed by spraying the track pad with compressed air to try to remove whatever substance is preventing the clicker from operating.

Keys are not functioning ¶ 

Keys on keypad are not operating correctly.

Open up keyboard and replace key ¶ 

A solution to this issue is that the key is broken and must be replaced.

Keys are Dirty and Stuck ¶ 

If something is spilled on the keyboard, the keys can get stuck. This can be fixed by spraying the keyboard with compressed air to try to remove whatever substance is preventing the keys from operating.

Device overheating ¶ 

Device tends to overheat quickly and/or frequently.

Fan is dysfunctional ¶ 

The overheating may be caused by a problem with the fan. The fan may need to be cleaned, repaired, or replaced. To access the fan, please refer to our Fan Replacement Guide.

Device is being placed on a bad surface ¶ 

The device can overheat very easily if placed on a surface like a bed, blanket, or a person's lap. To reduce overheating, the device should be placed on a table or a product made to raise the device above a person's lap.

Vents are Clogged ¶ 

The device overheats easier when it is not kept clean because the vents may clog with dust or dirt, and prevent air circulation. It is best to dust off the device regularly and perhaps use compressed air to clean off all surfaces.
