jailbreak is not apple software so the update you did was not recognized by the phone and your phone will not be recognized by the computer (known as bricked) no solution other than to re jailbreak if it works through computer which would need to be in dfu mode (a pain to follow on computer as it has to be perfect, while connected to pc hold power for 3secs keep holding and hold home button for 10secs then release power button still holding home button should go into recovery mode on itunes but that will fail to restore then jailbreak again if it works. chris
hi i fix mainly iphones, if it recent i dry it using hot air gun only short amount of time then if the corrosion is really bad the chips on the board are so small they corrode away fast. so i generally just use wd-40 and a little brush to remove any corrosion and that works getting the phone back to life but if it is bad normally something like camera or or touchscreen connectors are gone which i have no idea how you would go about getting that sorted. good luck chris
the charging port has contacts on that connect to your loudspeaker try clening them first with some wd40 it has wworked wonders for many things for me and iphones are my main repair it should hlp stop corrosion too the other thing to look at would be the contact that is under the metal plate with 2 screws for that section of the phone. hope this helps and costs nothing for you. chris
i repaired my console and it worked but only for 45 mins then ylod again i used arctic silver thermal paste as it states it better than ceramic. now after reopening my console a suprise was waiting not what i was thinking. i could see where i had spread the thermal paste on it and in some places it had connected and in others not even touching. i will definately be doing it again with 1 thing in mind........ make sure the thermal paste is thick enough to be joining both surfaces. which confuses me as one guide said a grain of rice of thermal paste another said a pea sized amount and im thinking an after 8 could fit in the gap. about 1.2gram on each which is about a third on each should do it if not im selling it for parts
i have just obtained a 3gs and have a 3g to build i ordered a battery for my 3g my mrs also had a 3g so i got one for that too now the 3gs come along so i thought instead of putting my 3g battery in the 3g i put it in the 3gs then put it on charge powered up good then i unplugged it , dead!!! i then noticed the other battery i ordered looked different. 10 minutes resarch and this is my conclusion....... the 3gs is totally different in many ways so always put the intended parts in the phone as all the connectors may look the same but are just slightly different and easily broken. apple must love it. Update: if you look at both batterys they are blatently different as one has lots of tiny component on it and the other not so many and i found out the 3gs battery has got a circuit that stops it from overheating and overcharging.
with screens i have noticed the connectors do come off easily i repaired my girlfriends phone to find things kept popping off inside when i push the screen back on and after about 10 times decided little sticky pads will sort it then buttons i had to replace the lot as the mute button would not work. i thought i was doing good then i broke the home button as one of the little brass pins snapped off. got another itted it still no joy so i tried to ben the pins so they would definateley be touching ding and off it snapped. so research began and i discovered all the parts on amazon i have now fixed about 5 3g/3gs and am awaiting my first i phone 4 repair which i will have in 3 days i hope this will be easy to do as it looks very complexed to change a 4s front glass
