Hi Betty, Try to install an operating system (Windows/Ubuntu recommended) to Flash Drive and load it on your laptop. Then open the disk drive manager and check your internal Hard Drive condition. Below are possibly symptoms: (1) If the drive detected and there's no error, your windows partition isn't bootable, luckily it's repairable with windows installer CD (2) If the drive detected but it corrupted, this link will help you (3) If the drive not detected, your laptop's SATA cable which connects motherboard to internal hard drive was broken, or unfortunately your internal hard drive is dead (>_<) sorry.. Sincerely, Athaariq Ardhiansyah
Dear Dietmar, Looks like you got a problem on Sleep/Monitor Lid Sensor cable or socket, that could happen if you (or someone) installed LogicBoard carelessly. New Original LogicBoard must not having any trouble except installed on wrong MacBook model. Sincerely, Athaariq Ardhiansyah
Dear Martel, Firmware (including SMC and EFI) MUST be updated from AppStore, that's most stable version of SMC and EFI. And well, both are stored in MacBook's ROM. Don't worry first, you still have second chance because Apple Service Center has "Firmware Restoration CD" which able to repair almost all mac product's firmware Sincerely, Athaariq Ardhiansyah
