Answer to: drains ok but no spinIf motor does not work, in particular on spin, the brushes may be worn to the point they do not make good contact with the commutator. On our Bosch I have replaced the brushes for the second time after 14 years (£7 plus postage). It helps to clean the commutator with very fine emery paper and check the belt while you have the motor out. After 6 months, I did find one brush spring caught on the wire out of the brush stopping it from making good contact with the commutator (it stopped again), which I should have guessed from the strange noise it started making when spinning. Adjusted the spring a little and it is fine.
