The system bios is the key and will typically read the model of the LCD and accept it or reject it when the system is powering up. If you plan to buy a replacement LCD module, try to get the same model number. If you cannot find an exact replacement, you can try another model of 13.3" LCD panel, but it may or may not work. If you get another LCD panel from the same MacBook model, even if not the same LCD model number, it will likely work. Any other LCD is a gamble. BTW, you have an LG 13.3" WXGA LCD panel. The TLA1 is a revision. I'm quite sure that this LCD was shared in HP notebooks also, so that is a possible source also.
