Answer to: Any hints for faster charging?As a USB device, 5W charging (using the provided wall adapter, or any Mac) is guaranteed to work. By USB specification, any higher than 1A is a violation of the standard (the iPad is not a USB device). With this said, the charge controller may accept >1A, but not actually use it. The chance of causing damage is very low. Even 100A would theoretically be safe (though, the wires would get hot). It's not a limitation of the cells, but of the charge controller, in order to prevent overcharging.
