Why won't my drill change speed? My drill is struck on the lowest speed. The switch moves if I push hard but it doesn't change the speed at all? Why is this?
Answer to: Why is there a burning smell coming from my drill?Check your drill vents to see if there is anything stuck in them. If there is, clear it out before turning it back on. If not, it's probably your carbon brushes wearing out. Check the vents to see if there are sparks when you turn the drill on. Sparks means you're good, no sparks means the brushes need to be replaced. Check the troubleshooting page for more info: Troubleshooting
Answer to: My drill will not turn on?Have you checked to make sure the battery clicks when you put it on the charger or into the drill, or looked for corrosion on the battery ports? Check to see if the charger light turns on when you plug it in, if not you might need to replace your charger. If your light turns on and the battery clicks in but it still won't turn on, you may need to replace your battery. Here's a link for a new battery if you need it.
