Answer to: Why can I put an attachment on my device?Assuming you are using the correct attachment heads, your problem is most likely the collet. If the collet nut was screwed too tightly at some point you could have damaged your collet, which is the small metal piece that holds the attachment head in place. Refer to our repair guide on how to replace a collet if you believe this is the issue.

First, make sure that the carbon brushes are not worn out since that might cause the burning smell. If they are worn out, they might need replacing. Also, make sure that there's not dust trapped in the tool. If there is, you can get rid of it by spraying compressed air into the openings of the device. Lastly, make sure that the motor is not burnt out. If it is, that might be causing the burning smell. Replace the motor.
