Then open the disk drive manager and check your internal Hard Drive condition. Below are possibly symptoms: (1) If the drive detected and there's no error, your windows partition isn't bootable, luckily it's repairable with windows installer CD (2) If the drive detected but it corrupted, this link will help you (3) If the drive not detected, your laptop's SATA cable which connects motherboard to internal hard drive was broken, or unfortunately your internal hard drive is dead (>_<) sorry.. Answer to: MBP boots, screen goes black, lights up after closing lidDear Dietmar, Looks like you got a problem on Sleep/Monitor Lid Sensor cable or socket, that could happen if you (or someone) installed LogicBoard carelessly.
