Wattage of microwave used on iopener. Was wondering if I had a smaller watt microwave if I should heat my iopener up for more than 30 seconds.
Answer to: Will not turn on.When you plug in the MagSafe adapter does the LED light come on at all? If not try unplugging the battery and then plugging in the adapter then plug back in the battery and see if the computer boots. It could be the power button on the keyboard if the battery is good and charging.
Answer to: One of two usb not workingIf the USB port is physically broken then the only way to fix it is to replace the entire logic board. Pretty pricey. Thunderbolt can be many things. You could get a Thunderbolt to USB 3.0 adapter. http://www.amazon.com/Kanex-KTU10-Thunderbolt-eSATA-Adapter/dp/B00LOLBBQQ Kanex makes good stuff.
Answer to: iMac 20" internal FanThe hard drive that shipped with those models used a special internal temperature sensor. Was there an extra cable that you could not plug into the new hard drive? If so, then the fans are running full speed because it thinks one of the temperature sensors is bad and it wants to prevent over heating. There are 2 solutions. Get the correct replacement hard drive that has this extra connection. I think mackerels.com still sells this drive. OR you download a fan control app that uses the hard drive SMART system to report it temp to the system. I used this on a 2009 27" iMac. http://exirion.net/ssdfanctrl/
