Hey! My name is Blake /Ba-la-kay/ and I'm a strong independent redhead that don't need no soul.
At iFixit I am known as "The Car Guy" but was actually hired on as the Repair Researcher. What that means is that I do research, all day, every day. And with 7 years experience as an automotive mechanic I am currently looking into bringing more automotive repair content to iFixit!
Outside of work I am an avid audiophile, festival goer, mineral climber, noise maker, electronics tinkerer, fixer/breaker/builder, and a parent to a cat (Zinfandel) and dog (Kaffee).

Answer to: 1978 f100 front caliper frozen. Retaining Pin will nor releaseHi Chincoteaguer, I would use a lot of penetrating oil on the pin that will not come out then use the pin that you removed from the other side as a punch to get the stuck pin out. Replacing the pins will be necessary and a good idea so they do not get stuck again. Also here is a video that could help https://youtu.be/VkLyaMjL_wo?t=1m55s
