I started out a long time ago in the British Army as a Radio Telegraphist, after leaving the Army I enrolled on a computer course at Control Data Institute and obtained a 99% pass mark in applied electronics and computing.

My first job was repairing computers in those days we actually used soldering irons, I've repaired everything from the early Apple Lisa to IBM and everything in between, I then went into networking, becoming one of the first IBM authorised engineers, then followed Compaq accreditation, Cambridge electronics/displays, Novell, Xenix, Unix and I was an early adopter of Linux and still use it to this day.
