Answer to "Why does my Pioneer stereo not produce any sound?"This is what I would do given the information! Some wiring in cars do not hook directly into aftermarket stareos. Check with a spair speaker to see if your deck is working. If it is, then the problem is in the wiring to the car and you mmost likely need another adapter. If you had sound before the spark, then it is most likely your amp. In this case, include an amp into your sstereo configuration and problem solved. note, some car audio has power amps built in and can have blown/burnt fuse due to the spark, however unlikelydon't forget about that
Answer to "Car wont run without being jump started"JumpStart the car, disconnect the battery, if it stays running, alternator is most likely good which means you need a battery. If the car dies, alternator is bad and change it. please note that if your alternator is out, it can take the battery out as well due to the fact that a battery does not handle being flat dead Well. So if you must change the alternator, there couldold be the same problem if the battery dies. So after you change alternator and it still will not start without a jump but runs fine without battery, change battery too. (10% chance in my experance)
Answer to "emergency/ hand brake adjustment"This could be an indication that your rear brakes are going bad. Safty first! Pull the rear wheels off and check that your brakes are still good. Then look at the face of the brake pads. Are they shiny? This could be a condition called glazing due to prolonged use. I recomend that you change them but you can atempt to deglaze them with a little brake parts cleaner and sand paper. (do not drinch your pads) if the glazing seems to be ok and you have good brakes, then move on to your adjustment. for this i can not give you an exact answer, but tell you where to look! First place to look is under the car! You will see a wire going to your rear brakes and deviding to both sides. Look for an adjustment on that wire at the brackets that hold it up. However most likely it is most likely where your ebrake is. if it is a peddle style, simply look at the wire it conects to where there should be an adjustment. Most likely is that you have the hand pull type and in that case it is still behind the handle in the consle....
