Is it really safe to lay the device fully open like a book? The cable leading to the LCD gets stretched across the sharp edge of the aluminum edge of the back cover.
Dear do-it-yourself fellows. The guide is incomplete as it misses the dismantling of the fingerprint sensor (a link maybe?) and more important: the adhesive is not shown on all of the pictures. During disassembly the forces are much higher than on other iPhones.
It is of interest during assembly where to put the adhesive best: on the display or on the frame. Even more important: if you buy a new screen the adhesive is not part of the delivered screen in most cases. So you loose some of its waterproof abilities.
Once they have, you'll be able to view a graph of their reputation gained over time.
