What I Do at iFixit
Hello there! My name is Ben and I am a junior software engineer here at iFixit. I’m part of the team that works on the iFixit website, fixing bugs and implementing new features.
I was born in South Korea and lived there for around 15 years before moving to Southern California. I fell in love with computer programming during my last year of high school when I took my first computer science class. This led me to change my academic path from chemical engineering to computer science. Currently, I’m a junior computer science student at Cal Poly SLO. I love watching and playing basketball, playing video games, going to the beach, listening to music + driving (especially during sunset), and of course, programming.
I am dedicated to supporting the repair revolution and empowering people with the tools and information to repair their own stuff. Repair is a crucial step to saving the environment and allowing people to reuse their broken devices, so I hope that we all use the resources we have to fix things. If you’re reading this, you are on the right track! With the iFixit team, I hope to make this website as clean, reliable, and useful as possible.
