Answer to "Can the Backbone One be modded for an iPad mini?"Hi @clatekeen, after removing the spiral springs and the screws which connect both controller sides, the Backbone One can be extended by a maximum of 19cm. (7,5 inches).
Answer to "I inserted the opening tool into bottom mic, did I damage anything?"Hi Ayush, don’t worry, your Nord is fine. The way the smartphone is built, you can't damage anything with the opening tool. Inside the phone the microphone is oriented upwards at a 90° angle so you can’t reach anything with the sim opening tool. Answer to "What is the ribbon cable pin count?"Hi Jacob, I disassembled the Kishi again and counted. There are 14 pins and the pitch is 0.5 mm. Here is closeup for you.
Answer to "How thick is the back plastic for this phone?"Hi Kadem, I just measured the back cover. It is about 1 mm thick. The battery is placed behind the logo as you can see here.
