Hi! My name’s Nicole Paul and I am a second-year civil engineering major at Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo. I choose this major years ago when I was just beginning to learn complex math in Middle School. At the time, I didn’t fully understand what engineering entailed but civil engineering sounded interesting and stuck with me over the next few years. However, as my interests have evolved and I’ve had more life experiences, I’ve come to recognize how much I value the environment. I plan to add a minor in environmental studies to help further my passion along with engineering. I hope that I’m able to combine these passions as I further my career in the future. I hope to help the environment by creating more sustainable construction projects and figuring out better ways to conserve nature.
