Maybe good to know: as this type of MacBook Pro is already ageing, mine showed some bulging in the battery. As I don't use my MacBook Pro anymore as a real laptop, for me, it doesn't matter anymore to replace the battery. But for safety reasons, I removed the bulging battery, and the MacBook Pro is still running fine!
I used to own two PAL machines in the Netherlands which both also had the daughterboard, the CVBS Output also did not give colour output. The signatures, including the paw print, were also present, there have been different revisions around, the ones with the daughterboard were the older revisions as far as I remember.
I also had a problem with the connector breaking off, but after putting everything together, the WiFi seems to work like before, so I guess there is no problem there...
I used a metal spudger from the Pro Tech Toolkit to remove the standoff, seemed to work better for me than a flathead screwdriver.
