did you try to put the camera in auto mode?? if not rotate the knob so that the small line aligns with the green symbol on the knob(auto mode)

1)press the power button on the remote control(if the remote control does not work,change the batteries) 2)press the power button on your t.v. 3)turn off the power to the plug (OR) pull the plug out the power outlet. That's it
