Hi! I just looked this up also, I have a great idea. What you will want to do is trick the system, It's the audiojack and the Mac OS X sometimes, it was for me. Put in the Audio Jack and remove it fast do it a couple times then you will want to keep it plugged in, click the volume icon and while messing with the volume on that and then quickly unplug the audio jack and keep doing this until it finally stays, It worked for me. If anything changes with this Idea I will let you know, Hopefully this helps you! :) - Chris

Hi! I just joined the iFixit community and hope to help you! There is a few things that could've happened, if you smell a strange smell from the phone you could've poked the battery and will need to be removed, if that is not the case you could have damaged the logicboard from incorrect screws, if that does not work then there might be water damage if there is none, then the flex cables are broken or the logicboard is done, I have fixed a 4s after I took off the screen it smelled like smoke and was over heating and not responding and best guess is the phone was gone because the whole front and back was broken and I replaced both and still no luck.

It might, I fix phones in my area and i've had some even come back from Apple mailed in and they have a blue screen, I've looked under a microscope and I really don't see anything torn or broken but I could be wrong, I heard most of them fell from an impact and I've seen fried logicboard's from falling, If still under Apple Warranty take it to a Apple Store, do NOT i repeat NOT send it in, It can get even more broken and they will sometimes ship it back even more broke, If you've tried recovery mode and tried iTunes and it gets locked into a restore state and tries to make progress then blue screens then your phone is dead. You got a few chocies because some stuff just can not be fixed sad to say. A). Take it to your carrier and see what they will do B). Take it to an Apple Store if under the Apple Care warranty, you can take it to a shop but I'm not sure that will work. C). Just buy a new phone if A or B does not work because sad to say, It's a goner.
