I graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 2012 with my B.S. and M.S. in Materials Engineering. I performed my thesis on the deposition and fabrication of a piezoelectric microspeaker.
I'm a pretty big nerd that enjoys consumer electronics and gadgets. I love to learn and create/fix things with my hands. Woodworking is something that I'm very passionate about, but don't do enough of. I also love music, playing it, learning about it, and that's something I also wish I did more of. I look forward to contributing to the iFixit community!

Answer to "My Android LG phone says it's charging but the percentage decreases."Check the current (amps) that the power charger provides. The current might be too low so the charger might not be able to charge the phone's battery fast enough if you're using the phone while charging. USB ports in cars are notorious for being low power and rarely can charge a smartphone if they're plugged in and being used at the same time. Make sure you get a high power rated charger that matches the charger that the phone was designed for.
