A second possibility is that the flash mechanism is broken. A spring mechanism pops up the flash, and this spring mechanism may be broken or worn out. A third possibility is that there is a problem in the power line to the camera. This problem may be due to a faulty connection to the motherboard. Please follow the Motherboard Replacement Guide to take the camera apart so that you can check the connections. If the flash is still not working after you have checked the connections and camera settings then you may need to replace the flash housing.
Answer to "Why aren't my pictures transferring to my computer?"There are a few reasons pictures may not transfer to your computer. If you are trying to transfer the photos by directly plugging in the SD card, two possible reasons are (1) The SD card is not inserted properly in the SD card slot on your computer (2) The SD card contacts are dirty If you are connecting the camera by a USB cable, two possible reasons the pictures are not transferring are (1) The USB cable is not properly connected (2) The connections are blocked by debris Some solutions for the SD card problem are (1) Ensure the SD card is inserted properly.
