PS Vita Slim Not Charging

One of the simplest fixes is by making sure you are plugging in the charger correctly. As both sides of the charger will go into the system, however, there is a correct way. As the charging strip should match up with the system and should be facing up when put inside the system. as the 'PS' logo on the charger should be facing up when you plug it in.

Attempt to hard reset the system by charging it by its AC charger for at least 5 minutes to make sure the system has some sort of charge. Hold the power button for at least 30 seconds to perform a hard reset.

Attempt to charge your PlayStation Vita Slim by USB charging. First you would need to go to system settings and allow your system to charge by this method. As some systems do not allow this by default, then simply plug it in and give it at least 5 mins to test to see if the battery has approved.

Try using a different AC Adapter or mini USB charger that did not come with the Sony PlayStation Vita Slim.

If the charger works and you have reset the PS Vita and the device will not turn on or charge, it is likely the battery needs to be replaced.
