Background
The AKG K240 Mk II are professional over-ear semi-open studio headphones, released in 2008, and is the successor to the well-known AKG K240.
The K240 Mk II features 30mm XXL Varimotion diaphragms with a wide dynamic range. The semi-open nature gives the headphones a certain airiness of open headphones while retaining the base extension of closed ones, with smooth fluidity at the expense of some punch and details. The headphones are meant for studios, stages and professional use.
The plastic headphones uses a self-adjusting headband with over-ear cups. The K240 Mk II uses a removable mini-XLR to 3.5 mm stereo plug cable, and comes with a 10 feet straight cable and a 16 feet coiled cable.
